A BIT ABOUT ME
I am Artemis – a translator and interpreter specialised in nutrition, wellness, medicine and health. I help companies and individuals reach their target audience by offering linguistic services that make their voice heard in English, Greek and German.
As an avid traveller, I love exploring. I believe that languages and words are similar to travelling – they have an element of exploration, they awaken all senses and broaden one’s horizons. They are also a powerful tool that can make your company grow and reach a wider audience.
My journey: My contact with foreign languages started at a very young age. I still remember how I felt when I was trying to understand what other children were talking about when referring to ‘scissors’ in English. Apart from the initial confusion of having to express myself in Greek and English, a sense of excitement filled me every time I was able to express myself in another language. Since this interest in languages didn’t cease to exist, I decided to turn my passion into my career.
I have completed my undergraduate studies in translation and my postgraduate studies in interpreting. Both have equipped me with a solid linguistic and academic background that guarantees professionalism and accuracy. My professional experience as a translator in international organisations in Greece and in Germany (ActionAid, Greek Embassy Berlin, British Council Greece) along with my experience as an interpreter in Greece, Germany and the UK have given me hands-on experience and have allowed me to delve into my working languages.
I am a certified translator-member of the Panhellenic Association of Professional Translators Graduates of the Ionian University (PEEMPIP), which is a member of the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association (EULITA) and the Fédération Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT). I am also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK (MCIL) and the Panhellenic Association of Translators in Greece (PEM).
